The Leake Academy Lady Rebels played in the semifinal round of the 5A State Championship in Greenwood taking on the Lady Pioneers of Parklane Academy from McComb. The Lady Rebels were up by 3points at halftime, 29-26 but were outscored by Parklane in the 3rd quarter trailing by 2 points. In the final quarter the lead would change several times but as time expired the Lady Pioneers came away with a 4 point victory, 61-57. The Lady Rebels will play in the consolation game tomorrow afternoon at 1:00pm playing Pillow Academy. The Lady Rebels must win that game to advance to the overall series tournament next week.
