Several local basketball teams have advanced in the MHSAA State Tournament.
Teams playing in the postseaon include Choctaw Central boys and girls and Leake Central boys.
Both the Leake Central boys and Choctaw Central girls have advanced to the quarterfinal round.
Leake Central defeated Caledonia 77-53 Saturday night to advance and will face Itawamba AHS Friday at Itawamba Community College.
The Choctaw Central Lady Warriors advanced to the quarterfinals with a 61-54 win over Houston. The Lady Warriors will face Tishomingo County Friday at Itawamba Community College.
Choctaw Central Warriors boys basketball will face Kosciusko Monday night at 6:00 for a chance to advance to the quarterfinal round.
