The Leake Academy Rebels began play in the 3A State Championship series in Madden playing the Rebels of Amite School Center. The Leake Rebels enjoyed a 2-1 lead going into the top of the 5th inning when Amite scored 2 runs in the inning then scored another run in the 6th to take a 4-2 lead in the game. Amite added an insurance run in the top of the 7th inning while holding the Rebels scoreless after the 2nd inning giving Amite a 5-2 win. Game two of the series with be this Thursday at Amite School Center in Liberty with first pitch at 5:00pm.
