A local school is among 187 in seven states receiving grants from the Tennessee Valley Authority for robotics education. Philadelphia High School will get $5,000 from TVA and is one of 15 Mississippi schools to receive an award to help support student robotics teams. TVA says robotics programs foster creativity, problem-solving and teamwork, essential skills needed by the workforce of tomorrow.
