6 p.m.
Employees with the Mississippi Forensics Laboratory, including a firearms expert, testified this afternoon. Tracy Weaver’s family members and some of her former coworkers also took the stand.
The state rested its case this afternoon, and court will resume Thursday at 9 a.m., when the defense is expected to begin calling witnesses.
2:15 p.m.
Several witnesses have taken the stand so far today including family members and friends of Bryan and Tracy Weaver, as well as the forensic pathologist who performed Tracy Weaver’s autopsy.
The court is currently in a short recess. Attorneys will resume questioning witnesses when proceedings continue, and we will provide updates as the trial progresses.
10:45 a.m.
Day three of the Bryan Weaver murder trial is underway at the Attala County Courthouse.
Meagan Weaver, the daughter of Bryan and Tracy Weaver, took the stand Wednesday morning. She was questioned by attorneys for both the prosecution and the defense.
Court is currently taking a brief recess. Testimony will continue when proceedings resume.
