CARTHAGE, Miss.–Several trees were reported downed as storms passed through Leake County Saturday afternoon.
One was reported on Eutaw Rd. Another was reported across the road on Mars Hill Rd. Those were just after 4:30. People were able to pull the tree on Mars Hill Rd. off the road with a truck and a chain.
Another tree was reported down on the Natchez Trace Parkway. A Trace maintenance crew was sent to remove that tree.
Another tree was reported down on Hwy. 427 near Ebenezer Rd. That was blocking one lane about 5:15.
Another tree was reported down on Craig Rd., just a few minutes later. That tree was caught up in a power line and Central Electric was called to help deal with the electrical situation.
Flooding was reported at South Pearl and Henderson streets in Carthage.
