Today’s Community Corner
JoAnne Millard joined us this morning on B-MO in the MO’rning to talk about an upcoming Spring Food Drive to support families in need. The Mississippi Homemaker Volunteers will host the drive Saturday, April 18, from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Carthage on North Van Buren Street.
They’re asking for non-perishable items including: flour, cornmeal, grits, oatmeal, rice, dried beans, sugar, peanut butter, crackers, cooking oil, instant potatoes, spaghetti and spaghetti sauce, powdered milk, canned meats, jello and pudding mix, jelly, canned soups, muffin mix, applesauce, canned fruits, Jiffy cornbread mix, mac-n-cheese, canned vegetables, and ramen noodle packs.
To volunteer, donate financially, or get more information, you can reach out to JoAnne by her email.
