The National Weather Service has posted a Fire Weather Watch for most of Mississippi including the local area for Saturday. Weather conditions are expected to increase the danger of wildfires.
* WIND...Northeast 10 TO 20 mph with gusts of up to 30 mph. * HUMIDITY...As low as 20 percent. * IMPACTS...The combination of a dry airmass and windy conditions will result in critical fire weather conditions. Thus, any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. Burn bans are in effect in several areas.
