The shooter, a juvenile male whose identity is not being released at this time, has been charged with aggravated assault and is being held at the Leake County Correctional Facility.
Kicks 96 News has learned of a shooting that occurred at approximately 9:40 this morning, November 20, 2023. Carthage Police, Leake Deputies and EMS responded to a call reporting that someone had been shot at a residence on Old Canton Rd.
Carthage Police Chief, Billy McMillan says this is an isolated incident and the shooter, a juvenile, is in custody. The victim did not received life threatening injuries.
