The Leake Academy Lady Rebels won the MAIS North 3A Championship this afternoon at West Point defeating the Lady Raiders of Kirk Academy by 29 points, 56-27. The Lady Rebels had a commanding halftime lead, 41-8 with allowed playing time in the second half for most of the Rebels roster and a running second half clock. The Lady Rebels advance as the number 1 seed from the North in next weeks State 3A Tournament being held at Kirk Academy in Grenada. The Lady Rebels will begin play Thursday next week playing the number 2 seed from the South. Times and opponent for the Lady Rebels not yet determined.
