The first half of the weekend will be calm in Mississippi but things are forecast to get stormy again Sunday night. Before the bad weather arrives, strong southerly wind gusts are expected on Sunday followed by a cold front which could produce some severe storms as it crosses the state Sunday night. In the wake of those storms, strong northerly winds are forecast on Monday with lows Monday night likely to be below freezing.
