Neshoba County First Responders and Mississippi Highway Patrol were dispatched to the of a serious two-vehicle crash on Highway 16 West near County Road 147 at approximately 1:05 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
Authorities arrived to find the roadway completely blocked by the wreckage. Both vehicles involved sustained damage and had to be towed from the scene.
Three ambulances were dispatched to the scene, one being Choctaw EMS and two from Neshoba. At least one individual was airlifted to a hospital for further medical treatment.
The extent of the injuries and the current conditions of those involved are currently unknown.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by Mississippi Highway Patrol.
