The upcoming Clint Black concert scheduled for July 3 at the Silver Star Convention Center at Pearl River Resort has been canceled due to a medical emergency involving the performer.
In a statement released by country music artist Clint Black, he confirmed he was hospitalized on Sunday with infected tonsils requiring emergency intravenous antibiotic treatment. Black said he is recovering well, expects a full recovery, and is anticipated to be discharged later this week.
He and his management team apologized for the cancellation and any inconvenience caused to fans.
According to the resort, all tickets purchased through Etix will be automatically refunded to the original method of payment. Guests with questions are directed to the Etix customer support page for assistance.
The resort did not immediately announce any plans for a rescheduled performance.
