Authorities have confirmed that the stabbing incident on Lucas St. Monday afternoon has resulted in a fatality.
Attala County Coroner Sam Bell says 16-year-old Nina Dillon of Kosciusko was pronounced deceased at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Attala.
According to Kosciusko Police Chief Greg Collins, the victim was stabbed during an altercation by 15-year-old Ta’khia Fletcher, also of Kosciusko.
Fletcher has been arrested and charged with murder. She is currently being held at the Leake County Correctional Facility without bond.

Kicks96 News has learned of a stabbing that occurred on Lucas St. in Kosciusko Monday afternoon around 4:15 p.m.
According to initial reports, Attala County Communications received a call regarding a fight in progress between two females. Kosciusko Police and EMS were dispatched to the scene.
Shortly after, one of the individuals involved was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Attala.
No names have been released at this time, and details surrounding the incident are limited.
