Maybe some stormy weather tonight in this part of Mississippi. But the portion of the local area that’s under a Level-1 “marginal” risk of isolated severe storms with damaging winds and hail possible from this evening until around midnight has been reduced. That risk area now extends only as far east as western Attala County and also includes Holmes, Carroll, Montgomery and western Choctaw counties.
The storms are forecast to develop along and ahead of a cold front which is expected to stall across northwest Mississippi.
