Around 7:37 AM Tuesday morning, the Carthage Police Department were notified of vandalism in a shop behind a residence on Hwy 35 N. Upon arriving, authorities discovered a door leading to an exterior bathroom had been torn down. Reportedly, this is not the first instance of vandalism at this residence.
That night, at 8:42 PM, CPD received a call about a car that had gone off into a ditch on Old Canton Rd. Upon arriving, they discovered the car was smoking. The Fire Department was dispatched to handle the vehicle, and the driver was arrested after failing a breathalyzer on charges of DUI second, failure to maintain lane, and an open container violation.
