Weekend Rain Doesn’t Help Much as Fire Weather Returns

Expect conditions which favor wildfires in this area this week.  The National Weather Service says rainfall amounts were mostly light across Mississippi over the weekend and as the ground dries, winds pick up and humidity remains low, any wildfires which break could spread rapidly, especially on Tuesday.  NWS says more significant rainfall will be possible later in the week.
