The Mask Stays on in Philadelphia

The mask stays on in Philadelphia for the time being. We spoke with Mayor James Young who said he is asking people and businesses to continue to wear masks in public. There are no other additional restrictions at this time. There are plans to re-evaluate the guideline at end of March. “We can not afford another surge in this disease. Neshoba County was one of those high volume areas based on our population in 2020. We do not want to go back there again when we know we can do the right thing.”

Follow up – 3/9) There is no official mandate at this time. However, upon reaching out to Mayor Young He said – “We are strongly asking all to continue to wear masks when in public areas, just respect each other.”
