At Least One Person Arrested After Saturday Wreck

CARTHAGE, Miss.–A Carthage Police officer spotted a wreck in front of the Exxon on Hwy. 35 south Saturday afternoon about 3:20.

An ambulance was called, with at least one person saying they were hurt.

One street light was knocked to the ground.

Shortly after the ambulance was dispatched an officer stated that he had one person in custody. That may have been for drunk driving.

The highway was at least partially blocked by the wreck. Officers worked to get the highway clear.
