The Leake County Extension has set Tuesday, November 19, 2024, as the date for its 2nd annual Soup & Chili Cook-off. Participants can enter for free and compete in three divisions: MHV Club, General Public, and the friendly rivalry between the Leake County Sheriff’s Office and the Carthage Police Department. Rules are available on the extension office’s Facebook page.
Each division will have three winners receiving certificates, while the overall winners will earn a cash prize sponsored by The Bank of Forest’s Walnut Grove branch. Additionally, the winner of the Sheriff’s Office vs. Police Department division will claim the coveted custom-made traveling spoon trophy.
