Carthage FD responds to woods fire near Battle Road

At 4:24 p.m. on Sunday, the Carthage Fire Department responded to Highway 35 North on a reported woods fire.  The CFD discovered the fire to be on Battle Road just north of the city limits and reported no further incident.  The Mississippi Forestry Commission was notified.
