The Leake Academy Rebels played host to the Lamar School Raiders from Meridian tonight in Madden. This was game two of the series with the Rebels winning the first game at Lamar. Tonight’s game was close with Lamar holding a 2-1 lead until the top of the fourth inning when the Raiders had the first of two grand slams in the fourth followed by another grand slam in the fifth inning after another run at scored for Lamar. The game was called by the 10 run rule after Leake failed to score in the bottom of the firth. Matthew Nowell was named tonight’s Wendy’s player of the game for Leake Academy. Out next broadcast of varsity Rebels baseball will be Monday night at 6:00pm on Cruisin 98 when the Rebels host Park Place in Madden.
