Power Outage Update: Most Local Customers Back On

Utility crews have restored service to most of their local customers who lost power because of gusty winds behind the cold front which triggered severe weather across mainly south Mississippi Wednesday night.  As of 1:00 this afternoon, 81 outages were still being reported in Attala County, 3 in Leake County and 7 in Choctaw County.   Statewide, fewer than 8,000 customers were still out.
