Deputies Deal With Man With Delusions, Hammer

CARTHAGE, Miss.–Leake County deputies had to deal with a man who was reported to have a hammer and who may have been trying to get into someone’s house on Cooper Rd. Saturday afternoon.

When the call came in at 2:45 p.m., the man was on someone’s porch and trying to get into their house.

The person who reported it said their husband was dealing with him and the man believed people were shooting at him.

Once deputies got there they found the man walking down a fence line and took him into custody.
