This part of central Mississippi appears to have escaped the worst of the damage after storms, some of them possibly tornadoes, rolled across the area Saturday night.  Multiple tornado warnings were issued. Among the early damage reports, in Philadelphia, a gas station’s canopy was damaged.  Property damage was also reported near Lena.   Trees were damaged northeast of Dixon and north of Barnes.
