A cold front forecast to push into Mississippi this weekend will bring some much-needed rainfall but also the possibility of severe weather. The National Weather Service has posted a Level-2 “slight” risk of severe storms late Saturday into Saturday night for parts of the local area, including Holmes, Carroll, Montgomery, western Attala and western Choctaw counties. There’s a Level-1 “marginal” risk across the rest of Attala and Choctaw, Leake, Neshoba and Winston counties.
