Extreme Cold Warning Continues

The coldest weather of the season has settled in and it’ll be in no hurry to leave Mississippi.  Temperatures are expected to remain below freezing today across most of the local area with highs ranging from the mid 20s to the lower 30s.  The state remains under an Extreme Cold Warning until noon Tuesday.  Tonight’s lows are forecast to drop to around 11 degrees in Philadelphia, 10 in Carthage, 7 in Kosciusko and 6 in Durant.  After a brief warm-up, another strong cold front will move in sending temperatures into the 10-15 degree range for Friday night and Saturday night.
