A man was killed Friday night on Martin Luther King Dr. in Carthage.
The man who has been identified as 30-year-old Kevin Christopher Cross Jr. of Carthage was taken to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Carthage Police Chief, Billy McMillan says there were reports of more shots fired later that evening but nothing was found.
The motive for the shooting remains unclear and no suspect has been apprehended.
