Update (12/8//23):
The man who died in the shooting earlier this morning has been identified as 26-year-old Lamontae Salley of Eupora.
Jatarrius M. Kelly, 23 of Philadlephia, is being charged with 1st degree murder is being held in Winston-Choctaw County Detention Center.
One Philadelphia man is deceased and another is in the hospital after what appears to be a physical altercation between the two.
Philadelphia Police responded to a residence on Bay St. at approximately 9:40 a.m. on Friday, December 8th when they received reports that a man had been shot. Officers arrived to find one man with a gunshot wound to the leg and another with a gunshot wound to the chest. The man with the leg wound was transported to the local hospital by ambulance while the other was pronounced deceased at the scene. Philadelphia Police Chief, Eric Lyons says the initial investigation shows that the shooting may be the result of a physical altercation between the two men. The investigation is ongoing and charges are expected. We will update you here when this happens.
