Neshoba Central’s Zach Ruffin nominated for best DB in Mississippi by The Clarion-Ledger

Neshoba Central’s Zach Ruffin is among several players nominated as the best high school defensive back in the state by The Clarion Ledger.

“Who is Mississippi’s defensive back entering the 2024 high school football season? MHSAA and MAIS football fans can decide which high school defensive back is the best in Mississippi. Now it’s your turn to vote,” reads the post by The Clarion Ledger’s Michael Chavez.

The post on Ruffin reads:

Zach Ruffin, Neshoba Central: Ruffin recorded 121 total tackles with five tackles for loss and six pass deflects in 2023.

In total, there are 26 players on the list.

Ruffin and the Rockets will open the 2024 season Friday, Aug. 30 on the road at Pearl.

Fans can vote in the poll once an hour through Sunday, Aug. 11 at noon.
