CARTHAGE, Miss.–A wreck that was originally called in as a car hitting a tree turned out to be something else Saturday evening in Leake County.
The wreck was called in just before 6 p.m. on Hwy. 43 north, near Thomastown.
When Thomastown volunteer firefighters got to the scene they reported back there was no tree and that the car had been run off the road by another vehicle that immediately left.
No one was seriously hurt, besides someone complaining about leg pain. The Highway Patrol was called to continue the investigation.
