(Brian Montgomery) It’s only appropriate that on a “Double Wide WINSDay” where you get to hear two songs in a row from your favorite artist, we have two of my favorite people on the show to talk about another one of my favorite things…..rodeo!

Coming up on Friday and Saturday, March 22nd and 23rd, the 2 (now) Annual Sheriff’s Rodeo returns to the Carthage Coliseum. Coming off last years big event, the rodeo not only returns, but it returns the city of Carthage and surrounding areas to what was once the hotspot for rodeo in Mississippi.

You can get your pre-sale tickets for the event at the Sheriff’s office during regular hours to save yourself some additional funds or pick them up at LoneStar Rodeo Company here.

There is also a pre-sale available for rodeo shirts (which benefits the LCSO Reserves) available by clicking here.

Sheriff Atkinson discusses the event and where the proceeds from the event will be used within the department.

Director of the Main Street Chamber for Leake County Dakota Presley discusses what to expect as far as the talent competing in this year’s event, events for children attending the event and a truck give away thanks to Triple M Motors.
